Virginia Maskell re: InterludeWhen I think of wasted lives......Virginia Maskell is on the top of the list. She had beauty, talent, and success that spanned from the theatre, to films, and some TV appearances. She starred in Interlude (1968) opposite the great Oskar Werner and her performance was hauntingly sad. It was to be her last role and she died before the films release. She was obviously clinically depressed in a time that had no treatment or definition for what she was going through mentally. She died of hypothermia exposure after a botched suicide attempt. Apparently she took a bunch of pills and drove to a secluded area and walked into the woods, eventually collapsing and freezing to death.......... So Tragic.
