False friendliness is not needed. If I would be the one you have talked to, I would feel like an idiot... there's a better way to treat people. I missed respect...
In my opinion, a person who wants to write a good biography has to ask questions, if you don't, I can imagine the quality of such a biography.
As for Ms. Waldron asking questions, am very thankful that she does that, cause the forum can only be kept alive if people stay active. Asking questions is therefor the best thing.
I don't know your books Marie-Jeanne, but, it seems you're not very humble yourself.
And as for Oskar, you knew him personally? Even if so, there's no need to "represent" him... we're all fans, we all want to learn something about him, his work and his life. You said you want to write a biography in French about him one day, but I wonder how that will work, if you say, you can only talk about his movies...no biography that has any value, would not talk about someone's personal life!
